The Barracudas Swim Team is a part of the Bedford Area Family YMCA. It shares in the Y’s mission to “build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.” The Barracuda's Swim Team’s Goal is to teach, train and motivate young people to achieve their ultimate potential in swimming while building strong Christian character.

The Barracudas Swim Team is a year-round program with two long breaks, one in the spring and one at the end of the summer. Our program is designed for all levels of swimmers, from the youngest and newest swimmer to upcoming nationally ranked athletes. In addition to fitness and strength training and learning the competitive strokes, swimmers learn the value of hard work, dedication, self-discipline, goal setting, personal accountability, team loyalty and team spirit. At the YMCA everyone can be a winner.

Fee: $40

Stroke clinics are a great bridge between swim lessons and swim team. Participants will work on stroke work, stroke efficiency, starts, and turns.

2009 – 2010 Barracudas Winter Swim Team
The Barracuda Summer Swim Team WANTS YOU.!!!! Our swim team is for the novice to the advanced swimmer. This is a great team sport and allows children to compete against others his/her age. The Barracudas are part of the PYSA swim league. Meets will be held Saturday mornings.
